Fire by Moersleutel is a non-adjunct stout brewed in collaboration with Crisp Malt, featuring two heritage malts in this 100% English ingredient brew. Chevallier® Heritage Malt, grown since 1820 and once the dominant barley variety in England until 1920, forms the backbone of many Victorian ales. It brings deep flavors, a robust maltiness, and a rich marmalade-like character. Plumage Archer® Malt, the first commercially produced cross-bred barley, had a similar impact on brewing as Chevallier. Both malts are used in equal parts in this brew. Bramling Cross hops add notes of blackberries, spices, and wood, while East Kent Goldings hops contribute earthy bitterness with a hint of honey. This beer is quadruple mashed for extra depth and complexity.
