Description

Moersleutel – Ancient Engineering: Stone Quern

Stone Quern marks the first Belgian Quadrupel in the Ancient Engineering series — a collaboration with the family maltsters of Dingemans. To push this brew beyond the ordinary, a quadruple mash was used, packing 1.2 kilograms of malt into every single litre.

The result: a deep ruby-red beer where flavour is drawn entirely from grain and craft, not from additions. A blend of four caramel malts forms the heart, with Special-B® delivering rich caramel tones, dark fruit sweetness, and that classic abbey-style depth. Rye, oats, and wheat complete the balance, adding silkiness and weight.

Full-bodied and refined, Stone Quern is all caramel, raisins, and toasted grain — a tribute to pure malt and meticulous technique. Proof that old-school brewing still builds wonders.
